Has your mealtime become frustrating? I've been experimenting with foods with my son and finding that if it looks fun, he will eat it, including veggies! It may not always work daily, but it doesn't mean I'm going to stop trying. With all the fun suggestions on Facebook, Pinterest, and making my own visual meals that are a healthy version on a Lunchables pack, I think I'm getting the hang of it! I'm going to post a few ideas for you to try, and keep adding as we go along. Be sure to return to this page for more ideas by pinning this post!
Above I made what I call a "banana dog" by adding peanut butter and jelly to a banana inside a hot dog bun. There are lots of variations you can make with this of course, but I think the squeezable kind of PB & J work best. I would try a whole wheat bun or maybe try this with warm french toast, which can also be done to the roll. YUM!
Kids plates and cups are darn cute. But keeping them in order is my least favorite thing, especially when he can reach the drawer and pull them out at any time... however the drawer gets FULL often from not being organized or having too much in it. This is how I organize it! It's all in a bottom drawer... cups, plates, lids, all stacked on their own. It keeps a little effort to make it stay this way, but it's much easier to find things when stacked together, otherwise I would have all the containers closed with their lids on but that only works for a pack of 4! I'm planning on getting divider to make it better. Stay tuned for that update! How do you organize your child's dishware? Is this helpful to you?
(ps. his forks and spoons are inside a peanut butter jar in the adult dishware area)
Hi! My name is Crystal, and I have been a SAHM for the past 3 years to my son Carter. I strive to keep him occupied without the use of a TV. Here is where I will post the ideas and projects we have used. I am big into living healthier and having homemade items in our house to save money and have less toxins in our home. I hope you enjoy our endeavors!
